Big Beard Builds is my own personal brand, covering my love for woodworking.<\/p>\r\n

In a modest workshop behind my house I collect old woodworking machinery that, after careful restoration, are once again used to fulfill their purpose: create wooden furniture. My creations are usually quite rustic, often built using second-hand wood – sourced from old buildings or discarded furniture – and sometimes simple waste wood such as old pallets. I power my machines using self-generated solar power and most pieces are built using a mix of hand tools and (antique) machines. Though the majority of pieces I build simply exist because I felt like making them (or to experiment), I do get a lot of requests from family and friends to build them items and I have on very rare occasions also sold some of my work.<\/p>\r\n

This website serves as a portfolio since I get many requests to show my work and having a central place to gather them makes sharing easier.<\/p>\r\n
